With a career spanning over four decades, Clinton Day is a true musical virtuoso, seamlessly blending artistry and technical mastery. Beginning his studies at Columbia College in 1982, he later earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music, paving the way for a distinguished career as a bassist, jazz pianist, vocalist, arranger, and studio musician. Clinton’s extensive experience includes collaborations with renowned recording artists, further cementing his status as a versatile and in-demand musician. His deep understanding of jazz, impeccable technique, and intuitive musicality make him a sought-after performer and educator, currently teaching bass, jazz piano, and music theory at various colleges and universities. As a vital member of the Denise Choate Jazz Band, Clinton’s contributions elevate the ensemble’s sound, bringing a level of artistry and sophistication that is unmatched.
