Where We Perform
Denise Choate & The Not Just Jazz Band is a Northern California jazz band bringing live music — and, for Latin-focused events, La Diversión — to weddings, private parties, wineries, and venues throughout the region. Based in Modesto / Sonora, we regularly perform across the Mother Lode, Central Valley, Sacramento region, and Lake Tahoe.
Mother Lode
This is where we play most often — historic wineries, Gold Rush-era venues, and private estates throughout Tuolumne, Calaveras, and Amador Counties. Expect intimate outdoor settings, tasting rooms, and barn or courtyard weddings where a full jazz combo or trio fits naturally alongside the scenery.
